A Recognition That Represents More Than Numbers
Rankings are encouraging, but research is never only about numbers.
Behind every publication, citation, experiment, revision, rejected manuscript, accepted manuscript, research meeting, and new idea is a long process of learning and collaboration.
For me, these certificates represent not only research outputs but also:
Ideas explored.
Problems investigated.
Students supervised.
Research teams built.
Collaborations developed.
Knowledge shared.
Failures learned from.
And new questions that still need answers.
That journey is what makes this milestone meaningful.
My Deepest Thanks
To My Colleagues and Research Collaborators
I sincerely thank all my colleagues, co-authors, and research collaborators who have worked with me over the years.
Scientific research grows through discussion, disagreement, experimentation, critical review, and the willingness of researchers to combine their expertise around a common problem.
Many of the publications behind these research areas would not have been possible without the commitment and contributions of wonderful collaborators from different universities, countries, and disciplines.
Thank you for your trust, friendship, ideas, and collaboration.
To My Students
A very special thank you goes to my students—past and present.
Teaching and research have always been closely connected in my academic journey. Students continually bring new questions, perspectives, and challenges that help us as academics think differently.
Some students eventually become researchers, colleagues, and collaborators themselves, and seeing that development is one of the most rewarding parts of academic life.
Academic impact should never be measured only through publications and citations. It should also be measured through the people we teach, mentor, encourage, and help develop.
To My Research Team
I am especially grateful to my research team, which I have the privilege and responsibility of leading as Team Leader.
Research achievements are built collectively.
From identifying a research problem and developing the methodology, through experimentation, programming, data analysis, manuscript preparation, revision, and publication—every stage requires commitment and teamwork.
I am proud of the research culture we continue to build together and grateful for the dedication, creativity, patience, and persistence of every member of the team.
This milestone belongs to the team as much as it belongs to me.
Looking Forward
Recognition is valuable when it provides motivation for what comes next.
There are still many interesting research questions to investigate, new technologies to understand, students to mentor, collaborations to develop, and real-world problems that require intelligent solutions.
I look forward to continuing our work across:
Artificial Intelligence · Machine Learning · Optimization · Smart Systems · IoT · Computer Vision · Intelligent Transportation · Healthcare AI · Engineering Applications
with an emphasis on research that combines scientific rigor with practical impact.
Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey.
The journey continues.
